It is a chance of a lifetime after 20 years: the chance to make a difference, the chance to see the world at your own doorstep, the chance to join the team of XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi volunteers. As Delhi prepares to roll out the red carpet to the world, every contribution will matter.
Volunteers are often known as the ‘Face’ of the Games and the ‘Building Blocks’ of the Organising Committee Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi, for, without their selfless, ‘we can do it’ attitude, it would be difficult to conduct a successful event of this magnitude. Stability and strength come from the blocks when they are placed symmetrically – side by side, one on top of the other . . . . with each and every person contributing to the success of the Games.
By becoming a volunteer, you could be part of a team of 20,000 who will welcome the world to India. We’re looking for a team that shares our values of sportsmanship, integrity, excellence, solidarity, diversity, competence, transparency, discipline and fairness.
The Volunteer Programme will be formally launched in mid 2009. If you are interested in being a part of the 20,000-strong volunteer team, watch this space for more details and updates.
