3 Dec 2009: The eve of International Volunteers Day, 4 December 2009, will witness the launch of one of the largest programmes undertaken by the Organising Committee Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi (OC CWG Delhi 2010) at its Headquarters - the Volunteer Programme of the XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi.

The energy, passion and enthusiasm of volunteers will lift the spirit of the Games to another level. Their involvement will be critical to the success of the Games, not only as the single largest workforce but also as a generator of legacies for D2010.

Prominent citizens of Delhi have come forward to be a part of the launch and will be registered as official volunteers on 4 December. So, as the clock strikes 12:00 noon of the International Volunteers Day, we’ll have Delhi volunteers on board. More information will also be communicated through print and electronic media, the Internet, etc., which will help prospective volunteers find out about the various ways of associating themselves with the Games.
